Rummels Rd at WI River
Rummels Road Campground & Day Use Area is located on the east bank of the Wisconsin River just south of Rummels Road approximately 2½ miles north of Conover off USH 45. This area is also used for primitive camping, so please be mindful of the privacy of any campers who may be using the site. This site includes a free-standing cooking grill, a fire ring with attached grill, and a picnic table. The site may be accessed via the Wisconsin River, and is just a few miles south of the world famous Headwaters of the Wisconsin River at Lac Vieux Desert Lake, where the County also maintains an historical marker, scenic park and picnic area.
There is a bathroom facility and small shelter located at this Campground & Day Use Area.
Access is walk-in or water only, no parking of motor vehicles is permitted. This site has direct access to the Wisconsin River, providing canoeing, kayaking, and fishing opportunities.
