Why Volunteer?Volunteering is a great way to give back to the communities we live in and strengthen our community bonds by working together to tackle projects that otherwise couldn't get done.

Volunteering is a great way to meet new friends, learn and experience new things, and make a tangible difference for good in your world! Volunteering has been seen to increase happiness, mental health, and satisfaction with life, meaning a day outside helping us could be a day you're helping yourself too!

Our volunteers work to protect the environment and the people of Vilas County through the projects we run, and they often have a lot of fun doing it.

Our ProgramsOur volunteer programs are designed to meet our goals of working to protect the waterways and lands of Wisconsin while also maximizing volunteer involvement and inclusion. The projects we currently have are best implemented with as many people working on them as possible, maximizing their effectiveness.
Whether you're a volunteer veteran, or just looking to get started, anyone and everyone is welcome to volunteer with us!
We have projects that you can do individually, with your family, friends, or with us, your Land and Water Employees!
